I'm a Software Engineer based in Portland, Maine 🌲. My GitHub tagline says "Node.js + React Enthusiast + Full-Stack TypeScripter 👾 and Bass 🎙/🎸". I'm currently working on building delightful experiences at
Paperless Post, and I dabble in contributing to open source.
I love having my own website. There's something about it that's so much more personal than a public profile on another site like GitHub or LinkedIn. My goal with this site is to build it out to be a place where I can share my thoughts, ideas, and projects and also tinker and experiment.
To that end, my favorite technical book is
"The TCP/IP Guide" by Charles M. Kozierok. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested, not just other engineers. The book is a survey of the Internet's history and technical workings, and it is a good reminder that the Internet is a platform where anyone can build anything. And even though the title is scary, the book itself is very approachable. If I could rename the book, I'd call it "How the Internet Works".
Last thing: sometimes I write! Check out my
blog, where I most recently wrote
'Do' More With 'Run'.
